Network Provisioning Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled CDN Provisioning Engineer to join our dynamic network infrastructure team. This exciting role involves the deployment and management of our extensive Content Delivery Network (CDN). You will play a key part in maintaining and expanding our global Edge network infrastructure, working with a variety of advanced technologies and contributing to innovative projects.

Responsibilities:

• Deploy, configure, and support large-scale production and corporate network and server infrastructure in data centers and Point of Presence (POP) sites across multiple regions.

• Perform server installation, configuration, and troubleshooting with a strong focus on Linux-based systems.

• Utilize your in-depth knowledge of networking to manage and support Cisco routing and switching environments.

• Own, schedule, and execute network maintenance, repair, and upgrade tasks to minimize production network impact.

• Apply your understanding of fiber optics for the installation and management of cable, connectors, patch panels, and optical transport technologies.

• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless network operations and project implementations. This will include performing network maintenance, repair, and upgrade tasks as needed while limiting the impact on the production network.

Qualifications/Skills:

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in data center deployment, large-scale infrastructure building, and Linux server support.

• Network Expertise: Strong knowledge of Cisco routing and switching, TCP/IP, VLAN, BGP, and other networking technologies and protocols.

• CDN Knowledge: Previous experience with CDN switches and servers is desirable.

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in fiber-optic technologies and a solid understanding of Linux operating systems.

• Programming/Scripting: Capabilities in programming and scripting are highly desirable.

• Detail-Oriented: Exceptional attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.

• Troubleshooting: Expert troubleshooting skills with the ability to analyze and resolve complex situations under pressure.

• Communication: Effective communication skills for collaboration with vendors, external peers, and internal teams.

• Documentation: Proven ability to maintain comprehensive documentation.

• Independence: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic global team environment with minimal supervision.

• Attitude: Proactive, self-motivated, and possess a can-do attitude.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with enterprise and service provider network hardware platforms and architectures.

• Demonstrated success in managing and supporting data center switching platforms.
