Network Engineer
Responsibilities:
Optimize routing and traffic engineering strategies using BGP policies, MPLS VPNs, and IS-IS configurations.
Implement link aggregation strategies (LACP) to enhance bandwidth utilization and redundancy.
Design, configure, and support large-scale production networks across data centers, POPs, edge, and backbone environments.
Perform network maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting with minimal service disruption.
Calculate and document power requirements; coordinate with Engineering, Facilities, and colocation vendors.
Collaborate with engineering, provisioning, and vendor teams to deploy circuits and integrate new technologies.
Provide on-site support at local data centers and remote support for POPs; coordinate with local vendors.
Manage operational queues (tasks/incidents) and contribute to new site builds and deployment projects.
Use internal tools and scripts to configure, monitor, and repair network and server infrastructure.
Maintain and evolve internal documentation, automation, and operational processes.
Conduct internal training sessions and knowledge sharing as needed.
Job requirements:
Strong expertise in BGP, IS-IS, LACP, and MPLS is essential.
Solid understanding of POP infrastructure (MMR, cross connect, peering, cage, patch panel, ODF).
Experience with fiber-optic technologies, cross connect ordering, and edge capacity provisioning.
Proven track record in network optimization (re-stripes, migrations, capacity upgrades).
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills under pressure.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
Experience maintaining technical documentation.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a global team.
Programming/scripting skills are highly desirable
7+ years of experience in a similar role
Must possess a legal work permit in Poland
