Role Description:
We are offering an exciting opportunity to join our network infrastructure team, focused on capacity deployment. As an Interconnect Manager Support (ICMS), you will collaborate with Internet Service Providers (ISPs) globally to enhance network capacity. This fast-paced role demands strong organizational skills, multitasking abilities, and a team-oriented mindset.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate Delivery: Collaborate with third parties to deliver edge network infrastructure, including IP services, peering, colocation, and Content Delivery Networks (CDN).
Manage Relationships: Build and manage a portfolio of supplier contracts across all geographic regions, handling new capacity orders, upgrades, changes, and decommissions.
Liaison and Coordination: Oversee capacity increases, liaise with implementation teams, and ensure smooth coordination among stakeholders throughout the entire process.
Traffic Evaluation: Assess network traffic for capacity, reliability, and performance, and translate these insights into requirements for caching and peering discussions with internal and external partners.
Support and Analysis: Provide analytical and planning support to infrastructure, data analytics, and product teams to enhance partner engagements.
Collaboration: Work closely with Network Engineering, Logistics, and equipment vendors to integrate new equipment and technologies into the production network.
Qualifications/Skills:
Language Proficiency: Fluent in English is required. Knowledge of Spanish is a plus and will be considered an asset.
Network Infrastructure Knowledge: Interest and understanding of network infrastructure, including Content Delivery Networks (CDN) and peering.
Educational Background: BA/BS degree or equivalent in technical or business-related fields, with 3-5 years of relevant experience.
Experience: Over 2 years of experience in carrier relations, network interconnection, and peering delivery is preferred.
Technical Understanding: Solid understanding of IP networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, BGP, traffic routing, IPv6) and related technologies.
Communication Skills: Proven experience in managing third-party relationships or strong natural communication skills.
Project Management: Project management experience or a natural aptitude for it.
Analytical Skills: Analytical mindset with a data-driven approach to process improvement.
Attention to Detail: Detail-oriented with expertise in querying and data clear.
Proactive Attitude: Proactive, self-motivated, and possessing a positive, can-do attitude.
