What’s the story?

We’re a trusted Snowflake partner in this region, working on major data initiatives. One of our critical projects involves an under-governed Snowflake account, originally built for cross-business analytics. Over time, ownership has become unclear, leading to operational, security, and compliance risks. You’ll be at the forefront of resolving these issues by defining a strategic vision, establishing governance models, and aligning all stakeholders under a cohesive roadmap.

What will you be doing?

• Assess & Streamline Processes: Analyze existing data-sharing workflows and access requests, then propose improvements to boost efficiency and compliance.
• Drive Security & Compliance: Ensure alignment with InfoSec policies, handle sensitive data responsibly, and maintain robust governance.
• Gather & Define Requirements: Collaborate with various business units to capture analytics needs and translate them into clear project scopes.
• Strategic Vision: Shape the future of the Snowflake account, establishing a long-term roadmap that balances business objectives with best-in-class architecture.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate discussions with senior leadership and multiple teams, bridging technical and business perspectives.
• Process & Concept Diagrams: Develop visual documentation to outline solution designs, data flows, and governance structures.
• Data Platform Expertise: Keep up to date with data platform trends, especially Snowflake administration and data mesh governance best practices.

A quick tech & experience checklist

Must-Have:

• Proven background in Snowflake administration or architecture (governance, cost optimization, security).
• Experience in relational database administration (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, etc.).
• Familiarity with compliance standards and InfoSec best practices.

Nice-to-Have:

• Previous hands-on involvement with Snowflake Data Warehouse.
• Exposure to data mesh concepts or large-scale analytics projects.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory or similar ETL tools.
