Your team
You'll join our innovative Low-Code Solutions team that serves as the bridge between technology and operations across IG Group. We blend process optimization expertise with automation capabilities to transform operational challenges into streamlined digital solutions. Working closely with Technology & Operations, we're the catalysts driving productivity enhancements through intuitive applications that empower both colleagues and clients.
Your role in the Team's Success
As an Automation Developer (Low-Code/No-Code Developer), you'll accelerate digital innovation by rapidly transforming business ideas into functional applications without extensive coding. You'll democratize technology creation across the organization, enabling teams to automate workflows and create client-facing solutions that drive business growth. By bridging technical and business domains, you'll reduce development backlogs while ensuring all solutions meet our stringent security and compliance requirements in the financial services sector.
A critical aspect of your role will be building data pipelines and integrations between our legacy on-premises systems and Google Cloud Platform (GCP), enabling automated workflows to access and leverage cloud-based data effectively.
What you'll do
Design, develop, and deploy scalable solutions using low-code/no-code platforms (such as MS Power Platform, or similar tools)
Build data extraction and integration pipelines from legacy on-premise systems into Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Design and implement cloud-based data workflows using GCP services (BigQuery, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, Dataflow)
Develop APIs and custom connectors to bridge legacy systems with cloud platforms and automation tools
Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to translate their requirements into functional applications, workflows, and automations
Create intuitive user interfaces, automated workflows, and business process applications
Bridge the gap between business needs and IT solutions, reducing development backlogs
Ensure all applications meet security standards, governance policies, and regulatory requirements
Implement secure authentication and data governance for cloud-based integrations
Mentor and guide business users in building their own simple applications using citizen developer principles
Stay current with platform updates and emerging low-code/no-code technologies
Document development processes, application architectures, integration points, and data pipelines
Collaborate with technology teams and AI teams to integrate low-code solutions with existing systems
What you'll need for this role
Essential Requirements:
3+ years of experience working with low-code/no-code platforms (such as MS Power Platform, MS Power Automate or similar)
Proven production experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including:
Building data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes
Data extraction from legacy/on-premise systems into GCP
Hands-on experience with GCP services: BigQuery, Cloud Functions, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, Cloud Scheduler, and/or Dataflow
GCP authentication and security (service accounts, OAuth, API keys)
Strong API development and integration experience (REST/SOAP APIs, webhooks, custom connectors)
SQL proficiency for data extraction, transformation, and querying across multiple database platforms
Knowledge and practical application of Lean Six Sigma or Agile methodology principles
Strong understanding of business process automation and workflow design
Experience in user interface design with focus on usability and user experience
Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into functional applications
Problem-solving mindset with ability to simplify complex processes
Basic understanding of data structures, APIs, and system integration concepts
Experience working in Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools (like JIRA)
Excellent communication skills to interface effectively between technical and non-technical stakeholders
Strong project management capabilities to manage concurrent application development efforts
Track record of driving process improvement and operational efficiency
Highly Desirable:
Experience building end-to-end data pipelines from on-premise databases/systems into cloud platforms
Knowledge of data transformation and mapping techniques
Understanding of event-driven architecture and asynchronous data processing
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) for GCP resources
Familiarity with monitoring and logging in cloud environments
Understanding of financial services regulatory and compliance requirements
Experience with CI/CD pipelines for automation deployment
