We are a FinTech product company - a web platform that supports every 2nd mortgage in the United States. We are based in California, with branches in Poland, India and Belarus. For our location in Bielsko-Biała, we are looking for people who want to become completely new scrum teams (in a "Spotify Model" - google it!), which will deal with the development of products previously created only in the United States. As a Junior Quality Engineer you'll be responsible for E2E automated testing of our UI (you need at least 6 months - 1 year of experience with Java to do it), close cooperation with Frontend Team as well as performing some manual tests (30-40%). Primary Responsibilities & Objectives
- Be an active participant in planning and designing product features with the ability to view the product from a customer perspective
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams involved in product delivery
- Develop, update, maintain and execute E2E automated tests (with small exposure to manual as well)
- Review and triage test failures and verify fixes
- Work with team to analyze code coverage using industry-standard tools
- Enhance and extend test automation libraries and frameworks
- Build testing tools, mock services
- Manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced Agile environment
- Participate in on-call rotations, driving bug isolation and helping restore the service
- Stay current with the latest engineering technologies and best practices
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- 1 year of testing experience using Java and Selenium
- Excellent analytical skills
- Ability to analyze requirements, develop a test plan/strategy, create and execute test cases, track defects and report results
- Decent knowledge of object-oriented programming languages: Java, C#/C++
- Self-motivated, eager to learn and research independently
- Ability to innovate and optimize
Nice to have:
- Experience with AWS, frontend testing (Protractor, AngularJS, React), Appium, databases, Security and Performance testing
- Knowledge of API, REST, SOAP testing
- Jenkins, Github
