We are looking for a passionate Junior Quality (QA) Engineer to join our growing team and help us ensure the best possible user experience for our customers.
This is a fully remote role, but the ideal candidate will be based in Poland, preferably near Łódź, to facilitate regular in-person meetings with the QA Lead at our base.
As the Junior QA Engineer, you will assist in:
- developing and executing testing strategies, test plans and test cases
- ensuring full test coverage through collaboration with senior team members
- providing clear, actionable feedback to engineers and project managers.
Strong English communication skills are essential, as you will be working closely with teams and stakeholders in the UK.
- Assist in designing, executing, and maintaining test cases for web and mobile applications.
- Conduct functional, regression, and exploratory testing to identify software defects.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA engineer to understand requirements and acceptance criteria.

Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning and daily stand-ups.

Identify, document, and track defects using an issue-tracking tool.
- Support automation efforts by creating simple test scripts or assisting in the maintenance of existing test automation frameworks.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and best practices.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and strategies.

0.5 - 1 year of proven experience in Quality Assurance roles, particularly in web development environments.

Excellent English speaking and writing skills, as you will be collaborating with teams, clients, and stakeholders in the UK.
- Experience in developing and executing manual tests
- Basic knowledge of testing tools and frameworks for web applications.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail for writing comprehensive test plans and bug reports.
- Ability to manage time effectively.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and working in an agile development environment.
Nice to have, but not required:
- Exposure to automation testing tools such as WebdriverIO, Playwright, or Cypress.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI/CD.
- Basic knowledge of programming languages like JavaScript or Python.
- This is a remote position with the flexibility to work from any suitable location in Poland.
- You are required to visit Łódź for regular in-person meetings with the local Tech Lead and other stakeholders.
- Work 32 hours per week, spread over 4 or 5 days between Monday and Friday.
- Working hours are flexible between 8:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m., but must be agreed upon with your line manager.
- Maintain and optimize automated testing frameworks and scripts, ensuring they are up-to-date with new features, bug fixes, and infrastructure changes.
- Continuously enhance automated testing coverage to reduce the need for manual testing in routine areas.
- Track and report on key QA metrics such as test coverage, defect rates, and test execution time, providing visibility into the quality and progress of the testing process.
- Use metrics to propose improvements to both the testing process and the overall development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Project Managers, and Developers during project planning and development phases to ensure that testable requirements are clear and test strategies are incorporated early in the development cycle.
- Facilitate User Acceptance Testing in collaboration with project stakeholders and clients, ensuring that delivered projects meet both functional and non-functional requirements.
