Grafana Developer

Currently, we are looking for a Grafana Developer to support our partner in building a Global Analytics Unit—a centralized team with the ambition to strengthen data-driven decision-making and develop smart data products for day-to-day operations. This team serves as an incubator for innovation, creating impactful data products across various business areas, from sales and marketing to logistics and procurement.

Your Role

As a Grafana Developer, you will play a key role in designing and developing Grafana dashboards and data visualizations for monitoring and analytics. Your expertise in Grafana, combined with knowledge of Power BI (as a plus), will contribute to effective data-driven decision-making within the organization. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including DevOps, IT Operations, and Data Analytics, to turn complex data into actionable insights.

What You’ll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain Grafana dashboards and visualizations for data monitoring and analysis.
• Utilize Power BI knowledge (nice-to-have) to create additional data reports and visualizations.
• Collaborate with DevOps, IT Operations, and Data Analytics teams to understand their monitoring and visualization needs.
• Work with various data sources (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, InfluxDB, Prometheus, Elasticsearch) to create meaningful, interactive dashboards.
• Optimize dashboard performance by managing data sources, queries, and caching to ensure efficiency.
• Configure alerts and notifications based on predefined thresholds to enable proactive monitoring.
• Customize and extend Grafana using plugins, scripts, and automation tools to meet business-specific needs.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in data visualization, Grafana, and Power BI.

What We Expect

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience developing Grafana dashboards and data visualizations.
• Knowledge of Power BI (nice-to-have) with experience in creating reports and visualizations.
• Strong understanding of data visualization principles and best practices.
• Experience with common Grafana data sources, such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, InfluxDB, Prometheus, and Elasticsearch.
• Proficiency in scripting languages like JavaScript, Python, or Golang, and query languages like SQL or PromQL.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot and optimize dashboard performance.
• Familiarity with DevOps and IT operations concepts (monitoring, alerting, automation).
• Knowledge of version control systems (Git) and experience working in agile environments.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across teams.
• A proactive, adaptable mindset with a passion for continuous learning and improvement.
