Global Cybersecurity is responsible for enabling businesses and functions to manage their information, technology
and cybersecurity risks by ensuring these are well-understood, and that controls used the manage such events are
defined, assessed and implemented appropriately. Cybersecurity predominantly delivers this via objective,
independent, professional and specialized subject matter experts. The role forms part of the first line of defence in
relation to the risk management framework.
The Cybersecurity Assessment and Testing (CSAT) function, part of Global Cybersecurity, is accountable for
Vulnerability Management, Secure Development (inc. DevSecOps), Threat and Controls Assessment (inc. threat
modelling) and Third-Party Security Assessment. The function drives the identification, capture, assessment,
testing/verification and ultimately the remediation of security defects, gaps and vulnerabilities across HSBC’s estate
in conjunction with business and technology teams – on-premises, within the Cloud and for those resulting from third
party engagements.
What you’ll do
Owning the frontend codebase and establishing engineering standards.
Working with Cybersecurity experts in understanding and refining requirements, delivering on features
iteratively, whilst also proposing new technologies and solutions to help keep the bank secure.
Working across multiple pods to support product owners and development leads in designing, developing
and delivering UI features that meet stakeholder requirements.
Adhering to the standard engineering excellence guidelines and working with development leads to actively identifying bottlenecks and improving software development efficiencies.
Adhering to the team’s governance procedures surrounding requirements intake, release and incident
management, and actively contributing towards further streamlining processes (through automation).
Undertaking peer reviews and leading by example for junior developers in the team.
What you need to have to succeed in this role
Strong experience developing and deploying modern frontend applications using JavaScript/Typescript
and React.
A deep understanding of frontend architecture, component-based design, and UI/UX best practices.
Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, ideally with Jenkins
Proficient in CSS and experience using CSS Modules and preprocessors such as SCSS or SASS
Familiarity with design systems and component libraries (e.g. Storybook, Ant Design)
Solid understanding of state management and hands-on experience with state management tools such
as Redux or React Context API
Experience with modern frontend tooling including Webpack, Vite, ESLint, Husky and Prettier
Proficient with Git and a working familiarity of the GitFlow branching strategy
What we offer
The pay range for this role is 22 191 PLN – 33 291 PLN (monthly, gross).
Additional car allowance in the amount of 4620 PLN (monthly, gross).
Variable pay is discretionary, but influenced by Group performance, business/function performance and individual performance.
