About Project

We are transforming our digital capabilities, driving innovation, delivering products in

ever shortening cycles and helping to drive the continuous improvement of our processes, tooling

and engineering practices. The Mobile team governs mobile engineering lifecycle activities providing

standards, alignment, management oversight and resource allocation in order to fulfil roadmaps,

guard highest levels of quality and operate on top of the best-in-class platform.

What you’ll do

• Monitor, maintain & extend the existing in-house Mobile CI pipeline (Jenkins) & related services as well as help to triage build Mobile CI pipeline failures in Americas time zone and participate in building & configuration of automated tooling / reporting.
• Build & extend our custom tooling (Python) to fuel productivity throughout the mobile teams as well as define dashboard to monitor production services, configure altering and monitoring on live systems.
• Be involved in incident management and supporting production systems.
• Provide support to the development teams as well as ensure that the mobile services conform to HSBC's controls.
• Actively participate in the Mobile Engineering Discipline and associated communities.
• Expand the CI capability.
• Manage our in-house CI service, built on top of Jenkins as well as support procurement of external services.
• Build tooling to support automated app releases, build custom tooling for our development teams and engage with the development teams to identify common problems and solutions.

What you need to have to succeed in this role

• Decent scripting skills in Python, Bash, or similar languages.
• Experience with AWS services like EC2, S3, RDS, and Lambda.
• Knowledge of containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or AWS CodePipeline.
• Proficiency in infrastructure as code using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools like CloudWatch or Prometheus.
• Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible or Chef.
• Understanding of networking concepts like VPCs, DNS, and load balancers as well as knowledge of cloud security best practices and compliance.
