The Collateral Platform is critical for the bank from the regulatory standpoint. It allows the Collateral Operations Team to perform the daily margining functions and managing risk across thousands of HSBC clients globally and to provide data & analytics to optimise its usage.
Our teams are currently operating in microservices environment based on Java and Spring Cloud on both on-premise and GCP environments.
The microservices interact with central platform running a distributed cache using Oracle Coherence with an underlying Oracle and PostgreSQL databases. The user interface is being built with Angular and the platform integrates with other systems in & outside the Bank using a combination of MQ, File, Web Service and REST interfaces.
What you’ll do
- Update all inventory tools to maintain service and application information.
- Be accountable for managing control of the service(s) assigned including NFRs, Risks and cloud controls.
- Adhere to governance processes and ensuring projects compliance with company requirements.
- Support planning of service requirements (e.g. Evergreening, capacity upgrades, DR test etc.).
- Support and manage ITSO book of work.
- Be a key contact and escalation point for requests for service information, service review and remediation of external and internal audits.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders within your Function such as other Services Owners, POD Team Members; Risk & Control Officers, Evergreening Leads, Infrastructure Leads, SSP Leads and CCO Tech colleagues, and within HSBC Group.
What you need to have to succeed in this role
- Experience working in either IT Helpdesk at a senior level or IT Service Infrastructure / Software support or IT Project Management (2+ years).
- Good knowledge of ITIL methodologies or can demonstrate use of such – mostly in the area of SLM, Service Continuity, Information Security Management, Change, Incident & Problem management.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationship with stakeholder and colleagues from other teams.
- Strong communication skills in English (written & spoken).
- Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues contributing positively to group project and foster a cooperative and supportive work environment.
- Exposure to HSBC Service Management and Governance processes and tools used in risk & control management (Helios, Comet, Scott, DSS, EIM, UCMDB, CSAT reports, BCC, Control-Right Dashboard, etc.) .
- Exposure to Infrastructure Patching, Evergreening, Service Resilience, DR / Role swap, Cyber Security Issues and related controls.
- Drive and execute compliance for the applicable risk controls. Provide appropriate management reporting.
