What you’ll do

• Build and implement Python-based AI solutions for the AI modelling – frontend and backend.
• Leverage Large Language Models to build GenAI applications used by the finance department.
• Deliver both prototypes and production ready applications, ensuring compliance with HSBC Group standards.
• Work closely with tech leads, business stakeholders, Quantitative Analysts and IT to create synergies across different functions and departments and contribute to the end-to-end design and planning.

What you need to have to succeed in this role

• Strong experience in backend and/or full stack development of large scale web applications and systems, preferably in Python.
• Strong knowledge of building, deploying and testing Generative AI applications.
• Experience in building and maintaining frontend solutions, e.g. using Next.js, React/Angular, and TypeScript.
• Proficiency in backend development with at least two of: Python, Flask, FastAPI.
• 3+ years of relatable experience.
• Experience in writing technical documentation and test-driven development.
• Knowledge of finance, particularly quantitative finance is nice to have.
