Digital Solutions is a strategic technology team within CIB, focused on industrialising safe and scalable AI solutions for our businesses and clients. We see ourselves as a technology company within the bank, building robust, production-grade AI and data products that support the bank's wider strategy, and we have been at the forefront of driving the organisation's use of LLMs and advanced analytics in a controlled, compliant way.

As Poland Digital Solutions Group Lead, you will: lead the Digital Solutions Group on a global basis, setting the vision, priorities and ways of working for AI in the business; Act as Entity Lead for the local Digital Solutions technology team, providing people leadership, governance and oversight; Coordinate Digital Solutions deliveries across all contributing locations, ensuring a single, coherent roadmap aligned to the Digital Solutions business strategy; Partner closely with various Digital Solutions Product Owners and senior stakeholders across Front Office and Control functions to shape and deliver AI-powered solutions.

The role is accountable for driving industrialized, safe and scalable AI capabilities into the various asset class technology stack, supporting front office productivity, risk management and client delivery, while maintaining strong control and adherence to HSBC policies.

What you’ll do

  • Work within Digital Solutions as a senior technology leader with both global and local responsibilities.

  • Lead the Digital Solutions Pods, setting the vision, priorities and ways of working globally.

  • Drive consistent engineering standards, patterns and tooling across teams, promoting reuse, stability and observability.

  • Promote a 'one team' culture, encouraging collaboration, knowledge sharing and cross-team pairing.

  • Identify and manage cross-team dependencies, risks and issues, escalating where appropriate.

  • Act as primary technology counterpart in the region to the Product Owners for AI-related initiatives for various asset classes.

  • Engage Front Office stakeholders (Trading, Sales, Structuring, Quants) and Control functions (Risk, Finance, Compliance) to ensure AI solutions are usable, explainable and compliant.

  • Oversee design and implementation of AI solutions for Digital Solutions (e.g. LLM agents, workflow automation, decision-support tools, analytics and MI), ensuring reliability, performance and scalability.

  • Shape the AI strategy and delivery for various asset classes within Digital Solutions.

What you need to have to succeed in this role

  • Strong experience in Markets technology (preferably in Global Macro - FX, Rates, Commodities or Equities), ideally in Front Office-facing roles.

  • Proven experience delivering complex, distributed systems or data platforms; exposure to AI/ML, LLMs or advanced analytics is strongly preferred.

  • Solid understanding of software engineering best practices (microservices, APIs, event-driven architectures, CI/CD, cloud-native patterns).

  • Strong people leadership skills, including coaching, performance management and capability development. Demonstrable experience leading engineering teams across multiple locations and time zones.

  • Proven ability to manage stakeholders at senior levels, balancing business demand, risk and technology constraints.

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate high-level business goals into clear, actionable technology plans.

  • Strong communication skills, able to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences and vice versa.

  • Be outcome-focused, resilient and comfortable operating in a fast-moving and evolving AI/technology landscape.

What we offer

The pay range for this role is 32 000 PLN – 36 000 PLN (monthly, gross).

Additional car allowance in the amount of 4786 PLN (monthly, gross).

Variable pay is discretionary, but influenced by Group performance, business/function performance and individual performance.
