Digital Infrastructure Services are a part of Enabler Platforms in WPB Technology. We are a team of experts who are responsible for solutions which enable evolving development of world class solutions, whilst protecting and maintaining HSBC’s existing systems. The team have specialists located in Poland, UK, India, China, Hong Kong, USA, and Mexico covering items from designing, building and maintaining infrastructure solutions for Enabler Platforms teams, whilst ensuring that HSBC systems continue to be protected from vulnerabilities by maintaining supportable infrastructure.

We are currently looking for an experienced Digital Infrastructure Delivery Manager, based out of Cracow, Poland (it’s a hybrid role with expectation of coming to the office on the agreed days).

Your role will be key in aiding the delivery of key initiatives or products to our retail banking customers. You will work closely with our delivery and engineering teams in Enabler Platforms.

What you’ll do

• Manage initiatives provisioning new infrastructure for new products to the business.

• Manage initiatives which protect and secure new or existing services and products through vulnerability management and ensuring all safety controls are in place.

• Act as the principal coordinating point for Infrastructure teams.

• Planning, monitoring and executing delivery in terms of IT solution cost, schedule, scope and reporting

• Provide estimates for recharge and resource to the business or an Application Project Manager.

• Manage and reporting risks associated with Infrastructure area.

• Timely escalate of issues and mitigating actions.

• Provide regular updates to relevant stakeholders within the team and externally regarding the progress of the infrastructure-related tasks in relation to the agreed timelines and milestones.

• Assist the Application Project Manager from infrastructure perspective to ensure smooth handover to Support teams from Application end.

What you need to have to succeed in this role

•  Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication, especially with senior stakeholders in Business & IT, and ability to build meaningful working relationships

• Demonstrated track record of successful delivery of infrastructure projects within the agreed cost and timelines

• Ability to work in an unstructured and changing environment and to manage changing priorities and to pivot on strategy and priorities when business needs arise

• Sound leadership skills with the ability to influence others positively

• Experience of managing multi-disciplined, multi-location teams to timelines

• Being a team player engaging and encouraging others with forward thinking approach

• Demonstrated technical expertise in an IT environment and relevant experience in infrastructure delivery

• Being familiar with Infrastructure design and architecture, with basic knowledge on Linux, MQ, Oracle, Mongo and Cloud technologies.
