Your career opportunity
We are looking for a Demand and Capacity Lead to join the Digital Business Automation (DigiBA) team in CTO Infrastructure. Our platform operates at global scale, supporting business-critical services such as Control-M, IBM Sterling File Gateway, and Connect:Direct.
This is an individual contributor role focused on managing demand and capacity at the application level with strong consideration for infrastructure layer as well. You will forecast service consumption, support development planning, inform commercial discussions, and help ensure our automation and file transfer services scale smoothly across environments hosted on distributed infrastructure — primarily Linux and Oracle DB, with some Windows and MySQL.
What you’ll do
Track and analyse application usage trends across automation and file transfer services globally.
Forecast future demand based on onboarding plans, project pipelines, and consumption patterns.
Maintain service-level capacity models aligned with performance targets and licensing constraints.
Prepare regular reporting for senior stakeholders, including consumption, risk, and growth projections.
Support development planning by assessing scalability impacts of new or enhanced services.
Provide consumption insights to support vendor discussions and contract evaluations.
Collaborate with internal customers and platform teams to align demand with resource availability.
Contribute to audit readiness and governance by documenting capacity planning activities.
What you need to have to succeed in this role
Strong experience in application-level demand and capacity planning within large, distributed environments.
Analytical mindset with the ability to model service growth and translate data into actionable insights.
Understanding of how enterprise applications consume infrastructure resources (CPU, memory, storage, DB).
Experience with licensing and vendor models related to software consumption.
Familiarity with workload automation or MFT tools such as Control-M, IBM SFG, or Connect:Direct is a nice to have.
Strong stakeholder engagement skills across engineering, operations, and business domains.
Ability to work independently, structure deliverables, and communicate clearly.
Comfortable operating in a globally distributed team with cross-time zone collaboration.
