The Azure and Power Platform Scrum Master will work within the globally distributed Azure and Power Platform Cloud Services team. The candidate will ensure that all requirements are clearly documented, prioritised, and scheduled in team delivery plans enabling delivery to internal customers on time. Enhance and mature the hybrid agile process based on known standards (E.g. Scrum, Kanban Etc.) and coach the teams development in best practice. Orchestrate the engineering backlog into the engineering delivery lifecycle. The role defines the metrics used to track continuous process improvement and works with other up and down stream stakeholders to ensure an efficient operating model. Implementation of process, practices and tools that are simple, consistent, efficient and flexible. The Scrum Master drives Agile and Lean frameworks that result in quality product delivery and continuous improvement. They embrace agility as a practice. The Scrum Master is responsible for removing impediments that hinder the team from reaching their goals and has a flexible approach that enables the team to rapidly respond to changes.
What you’ll do
- Document and translate customer functional and non-functional requirements, IT and business priorities and success criteria for inbound requests into the engineering pod.
- Plan, manage and lead all agile related ceremonies (Stand ups, Sprint cycles, planning and estimation, Retrospectives) across a small number of focussed pods
- Gather requirements and provide continuous feedback loops between customer and engineering teams
- Provide Management reporting to ensure data driven discussions for continuous improvement
- Administration of tools within platform team (Jira, JIRA ServiceDesk, Azure DevOps and Confluence)
- Develop relationships with customer technical and non-technical stakeholders, supporting growth and maturity of cloud adoption.
What you need to have to succeed in this role
- Certified Scrum Master or Professional Scrum Master certification with proven experience of multi-project delivery
- A track record of constantly looking for ways to do things better and an excellent understanding of the mechanism necessary to successfully implement change
- Proven ability to be a self-starter, often operating on limited/concise requirements.
- Strong presentation skills large and small audiences consisting of technical and non-technical audiences.
- Acknowledged for driving decisions collaboratively, resolving conflicts and ensuring follow through with exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Beneficial to have experience across one or more Cloud Service Platforms (Azure, Power Platform, AWS, GCP).
- Beneficial to have technical pre-sales skills or experience analysing and understanding functional requirements for business-led IT initiatives.
