This role is full-time and offers home working flexibility. 

Areas of responsibility

• Acting as a functional lead for software developers;
• People and skills management;
• Ensuring the product’s technical excellence;
• Software and solution architecture;
• Technical assets management;
• Ensuring effective collaboration and communication with related functions.

Your future tasks will include

• Hiring, mentoring, and managing performance within the software development team;
• Monitoring and analyzing team performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement;
• Providing regular reporting and metrics to the CTO to enable effective decision-making;
• Collaborating with the CTO and Software Architect to align technical and product strategies;
• Overseeing the technical and architectural design processes;
• Overseeing the technical strategy implementation;
• Conducting regular code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and scalability;
• Tracking the system performance according to the Non-Functional requirements and ensuring adherence;
• Acting as a product owner for the platform team, providing tools to other software development teams;
• Leading internal functional and cross-functional projects to optimize the development process.

You’re going to need this to be successful in this role

• 7+ years of experience in software development with at least 3 years in a leadership position, such as Head of Development, Head of Engineering, or similar;
• Experience with programming languages such as PHP (alternatively Ruby or Python) and JavaScript and excellent knowledge of their ecosystems;
• Being a highly self-motivated and results-oriented team player;
• Experience designing and implementing software solutions;
• Deep understanding of software development processes, including frontend and backend development, software testing, and CI/CD;
• Deep understanding of the principles of building a reliable architecture;
• Strong knowledge of software architecture principles and OOP, SOLID, and Design Patterns;
• Experience with software development tools such as Git, Jira, and Confluence;
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Azure;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Experience in leading remote teams;
• Advanced level of English. Fluency in Russian is a plus.

It’s nice if you also have 

• Experience with SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework);
• Understanding of DevOps processes;
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes;
• Development experience in any other programming language.
