We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to further strengthen our client's team. Our client is a global retailer of furniture and home goods. You will play a key role in designing and building batch and streaming data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), ensuring data is curated, validated, and transformed to meet business needs. You will also support analysts in creating and maintaining dashboards that provide insights for accessibility and compliance.

In this role you will:

• Design, build, and maintain batch and streaming data pipelines on GCP (BigQuery, Dataform, Cloud Functions).

• Curate, validate, and transform data (ETL/ELT) according to defined business rules.

• Monitor and maintain pipelines for performance and reliability.

• Work with diverse data sources to ensure high-quality, trusted datasets.

• Collaborate with Data Analysts and Business Analysts to enable accessible dashboards and reporting.

• Incorporate accessibility standards (WCAG) and compliance frameworks (EAA) into data solutions.

• Contribute within an Agile product team environment.

You might be the perfect match if you possess the following competencies: 

Must-Have Skills:

• 4+ years of experience in similar role

• Strong experience with Python for Data Engineering.

• Hands-on expertise in GCP data services: BigQuery, Dataform, Cloud Functions.

• Strong SQL skills.

• Experience building and maintaining data pipelines (batch & streaming).

• Familiarity with reporting tools (e.g., Power BI).

• Experience working in Agile Ways of Working (WoW) as part of a product team.

• Proficiency with GitHub for version control.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Desired Knowledge:

• Awareness of Accessibility Standards (WCAG) and their impact on reporting and dashboards.

• Understanding of Regulatory Compliance (e.g., European Accessibility Act).
