Matillion and AWS Platform Administrator

We are looking for Matillion and AWS Platform Administrator, who will join a newly formed team of DWH professionals responsible for administrating and supporting data warehouse (DW) platforms on-premises and in the cloud. The system is used for reporting and data analysis. It is a central repository for integrated data from various sources. 

Our customer is a well-known Scandinavian automotive company with global operations. They have DWH on premises with Oracle Database and ODI (Oracle Data Integrator as ETL tool) and in the cloud based on Snowflake, Matillion, Gitlab, and AWS/Azure. They are in transition to move to cloud solutions. 

Responsibilities:

• Set up and maintain Matillion in PaaS and SaaS version;
• Perform infrastructure operational activities which include upgrades, configuration and troubleshooting​;
• Communicating stakeholders about admin activities​;
• Monitor, automate and optimize the cloud infrastructure from both a performance and cost perspective;
• ​Setting up invoicing process to generate the invoice for the consumer teams;
• You will contribute to the design and implementation of operational procedures and policies​;
• You will recognize common problems and try to prevent them and identify opportunities for service improvement and automation​;
• Learn from continuous improvement and share the knowledge within the team as well as support in maintaining internal documentation​;
• Help others with guidance and suggest improvements;
• Involve in the security review processes and keep platform secured​.

It's a long-term collaboration, for an indefinite period, with the potential to grow with a newly formed team.

We offer a choice of employment form: B2B or Employment Contract:

• UoP: 18 000 – 22 000 PLN gross/month
• B2B: 130 – 160 PLN net/hour + VAT

You might be the perfect match if you are/have:

• 4+ years of admin experience in Matillion Administration;
• 4+ years of experience in Cloud administration (AWS preferred)​;
• Proficient in Python Coding.

Moreover, we appreciate skills in these areas:

• 2+ years Experience working in data warehousing domain;​
• 1+ years of admin experience in Snowflake ​Administration;
• Good at Linux and networks​;
• Good understanding on git branching, Push and Pull code to and from git repository​;
• Strong English language skills;
• BSc or MSc in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
