Job Title: Scrum Master & Product Owner
Experience Required:
8–10 years of software product management experience
Stakeholder & Team Engagement:
Manages effective stakeholder engagement across all levels (users, benefactors, executives, champions)

Proven leadership skills and decisive decision-making prowess
Ability to confidently navigate the ambiguity of a zero-to-one product
Ability to understand business problems and bridge with technology capabilities
Agile & Scrum Expertise:
Experience with Agile teams and delivery
Experience as a Product Owner across multiple Scrum teams or at a Scrum of Scrums level
Coaches the Dev Team on empowerment, self-organization, problem-solving, and lean agile practices
Facilitates Scrum events and fosters team involvement in meetings
Ensures Scrum rules are followed and promotes Agile values within the feature team
Guides team in establishing normalized estimates
Coach and monitor Scrum team Agile practices
Facilitates:
Sprint Planning
Daily Standups
Sprint Review/Demo
Sprint Retrospective
Backlog Refinement
Participates in:
Scrum of Scrums (SOS)
PI Planning
Cross-team Communities of Excellence (COEs)
Product Ownership & Backlog Management:
Support Product Owner for backlog management and prioritization
Schedule and communicate ceremony calendars for iterations
Ensure estimation from feature (t-shirt size) to story level (story points)
Ensure Scrum teams’ velocity is documented
Facilitates feature/capability and story estimation
Ensures Stories/Features contain:
Correct labels
Epic rollup
Approvals
Documentation
Agreed timelines
Detail standards (scope, assumptions, acceptance criteria)
Project & Program Management:
Establish and maintain processes for managing scope during the project lifecycle
Set quality and performance standards
Assess risks
Structure and manage integrated, multitrack performance databases (digital, print, social, broadcast, experiential)
Develop and maintain partnerships with third-party resources (vendors, researchers)
Assign and monitor resources to ensure project efficiency and maximize deliverables
Report project outcomes and/or risks to appropriate management channels
Escalate issues as necessary according to project work plan
Handle financial management and program management support
Delivery & Execution Support:
PMT Project Manager facilitates team progress to deliverables
Helps teams focus on delivering value aligned to daily, iteration, and PI goals
Balances scope, inter-dependencies, and time commitments
Work with Product Owners, Solution Architects, and other stakeholders to ensure strategy and execution alignment
Unblocks impediments and escalates issues at the team/sprint level
Manage risks and dependencies
Work with team and RTE to escalate, track, and unblock impediments
Increase team effectiveness
Shield Development Team from external interference
Coordinate and support Development Team and hand off to Release Management Team for deployments
Monitoring & Metrics:
Measures and monitors development metrics
Tracks iteration velocity/burndown
Manage and optimize the flow of value through the Scrum team using GitLab
Track execution of features and capabilities
Keep teams accountable for their timelines
Communication & Problem Solving:
Strong, proven problem-solving skills
Ability to quickly analyze the most expedient method to recover business operations
Ability to understand user problems by talking to users and analyzing data
