Currently, for our Client, we are looking for Candidates for the position of:

Senior Test Engineer

Mode: hybrid

Location: GdańskContract type: B2B contract through Hays PolandRate: 145 net/h + VATWorking hours: standard

Technology stack: Python, PySpark, SQL, Azure Data Services

As a Senior Test Engineer, your mission will be to uphold the integrity, performance, and reliability of Data Hubs and data pipelines built on Azure and Databricks. You'll play a key role in crafting automated testing solutions, executing regression cycles, and validating complex data workflows at scale.

Responsibilities:

·       Build, evolve, and maintain automated testing frameworks tailored for data orchestration and processing.

·       Perform regression, performance, and scalability tests across data ingestion and transformation layers.

·       Apply data quality checks and anomaly detection mechanisms within Azure-based pipelines.

·       Work closely with Data Engineering and DevOps teams to embed testing into CI/CD workflows.

·       Ensure all testing aligns with data privacy, governance, and security standards.

·       Define testing strategies, establish best practices, and contribute to documentation for Data & AI initiatives.

What we expect:

·       Proven skills in Python, PySpark, SQL, and modern test automation tools.

·       Hands-on experience with Azure Data Services, including Databricks, Data Factory, and Storage Accounts.

·       Solid background in testing distributed systems, big data pipelines, and ETL processes.

·       Familiarity with CI/CD platforms like Azure DevOps and Jenkins and integrating automated tests.

·       Strong grasp of data governance principles, quality assurance frameworks, and monitoring solutions.

·       Sharp analytical thinking and a collaborative mindset, thriving in Agile/Scrum environments.

Bonus Skills

·       Exposure to testing AI workflows and validating machine learning models.

·       Knowledge of metadata management and tools for tracking data lineage.
