Our client is a Danish company from the pharmaceutical industry, currently expanding its Business Center operations in Warsaw. As part of this transformation, new teams and structures are being built in a modern office on Inflancka Street. Your Role
As a Senior Database Administrator, you will be responsible for the stability and performance of our database systems, with a strong focus on Microsoft SQL Server. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data-driven processes and ensure our infrastructure is secure, efficient, and future-ready.
Key Responsibilities
Administer and maintain Microsoft SQL Server environments
Optimize database performance through query tuning, indexing, and resource management
Ensure data integrity and security in compliance with GDPR and industry standards
Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and automation scripts
Collaborate with developers, analysts, and infrastructure teams to deliver robust solutions
Implement backup and recovery strategies and support database upgrades
Participate in capacity planning and performance forecasting
Maintain documentation and support audits and inspections as per IT QMS
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience with Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL
Strong understanding of database design, performance tuning, and security management
Familiarity with cloud-based database solutions and DevOps practices
Experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation
Knowledge of data governance and compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, GxP)
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
Ability to mentor junior DBAs and contribute to technical leadership
