For our Client, we are currently looking for Candidates for the position of:

SAP Tax / Vertex Consultant

Location: Remote work from Poland with occasional travel to Lisbon, Portugal

Branch: Project in the Life Science/Pharma industry

Job type: B2B (with Hays Poland)

Length: Initial 6-month contract with the possibility of a 1-year extension

Rate: 200-250 PLN/hour or 457-467 EUR/day (paid in PLN)

Start date: ASAP, max notice period ~1 month

Working hours: 40 hours per week

Remote work: 100% remote with occasional travel to Portugal

Main engineering concepts:

Microservices, API design, micro-applications, BPMN, UML

Responsibilities:

• Incident / Issue resolution (40%): Analyze and resolve incidents related to Vertex O series and its integration with SAP, utilizing tools like SIC/CFA logs.
• Enhancements / developments (40%): Develop and implement enhancements to the Vertex system to meet evolving business requirements.
• Meetings / Discussions (20%): Participate in meetings with stakeholders to gather requirements, discuss solutions, and provide updates on progress.

Requirements:

• Essential Skills:
• Vertex Expertise: Very strong knowledge of Vertex O series with CFA.
• SAP Integration: Extensive experience in integrating Vertex with SAP S/4HANA, ARIBA, COUPA, etc.
• Tax Domain: Strong understanding of indirect tax and localization requirements in the EMEA region.
• Implementation/Support: Prior experience in Vertex with S/4HANA implementation and/or support projects.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with stakeholders.
• Nice to Have Skills:
• SAP MM Functional knowledge
• SAP FI Functional knowledge
• Experience in the Life Science/Pharma industry
• Qualifications:
• UG/PG degree in Computer Science or a related field

Travel Required:

• You should be able to travel to Lisbon, Portugal, as and when required by the client. The frequency of travel is uncertain and may range from monthly to every six months.

Additional Information:

• Experience: 6-10 years of experience with Vertex and SAP S/4HANA Indirect Tax.
• Language Skills: Very good English skills are required. Polish is not needed.
