Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Data Security Specialist with expertise in Microsoft Purview to join our dynamic Information Security team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the protection of sensitive data across our organization by leveraging Microsoft Purview to manage data governance, compliance, and security

Responsibilities:

• Implement and manage data governance and compliance policies using Microsoft Purview.
• Develop and enforce data security standards, policies, and procedures to protect sensitive information across the organization.
• Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Monitor and respond to data security incidents, ensuring timely resolution and documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, legal, and compliance, to ensure alignment on data security practices and regulatory requirements.
• Provide training and guidance to employees on data security best practices and the use of Microsoft Purview.
• Stay current with emerging data security threats, technologies, and regulatory requirements to continuously improve the organization's data security posture.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation of data security policies, procedures, and incident response plans.

Requirements:

·      Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.

·      Minimum of 3 years of experience in data security, with a focus on data governance and compliance.

·      Hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview and other data security tools.

·      Strong understanding of data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA) and industry standards.

·      Proven ability to perform risk assessments and develop effective mitigation strategies.

·      Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

·      Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.

·      Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA) are a plus.
