Data Engineer - Snowflake Specialist

Work model: Hybrid, at least 1 day on-site; offices in Warsaw, Gdańsk, Gdynia, Łódź

Type of contract: contract (B2B by Hays Poland)

Rate: up to 165 net/h + vat

Who are we looking for?

Expert Snowflake developer experienced with DBT and with Data Vault implementation. A solid experience and understanding of architecture, designing and operationalization of large-scale data and analytics solutions on Snowflake Cloud Data Warehouse

Responsibilities:

• Architect and develop scalable data solutions using Snowflake, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• Create and maintain data models, including Data Vault and Data Mesh architectures, to support business requirements and analytics.
• Develop and manage ETL processes using DBT (Data Build Tool) to transform and load data into Snowflake.
• Optimize Snowflake queries and data structures for performance and cost efficiency.
• Integrate data from various sources into Snowflake, ensuring data quality and consistency.
• Work closely with data engineers, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver solutions that meet business objectives.
• Document data architectures, processes, and provide training to team members on Snowflake best practices.
• Monitor the performance and health of the Snowflake environment, troubleshoot issues, and perform regular maintenance.

Must have requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience as a Developer, with strong knowledge of Snowflake
• Experience in Data warehousing and ETL processes
• Knowledge of BDT
• Ability to work independently
• Data Mesh/Data Vault experience will be added advantage
• English skills at minimum B2 level
