THIS IS A HYBRID ROLE IN WARSAW (3 days per week from the office).
Join our Risk Technology team to help design and develop a scalable analytical framework supporting the firm’s risk reporting and calculation infrastructure. You will architect and implement systems that compute on vast volumes of structured data to power decision-making across the Risk Department. Working at the intersection of engineering and quantitative finance, you'll drive innovation, precision, and performance in a dynamic, data-intensive environment.
- Design and implement large-scale data computation pipelines and analytics platforms that allow for flexible, distributed processing across massive datasets.
- Develop domain-level insight into financial risk modeling to anticipate and fulfill analytical and infrastructure needs across the risk organization.
- Drive innovation by introducing new technologies and frameworks that improve system performance, enhance product quality, and expand feature capabilities.
- Solve high-complexity engineering and data problems using a blend of creative thinking, algorithmic rigor, and modern technology practices.
- Academic or professional background in computer science, applied mathematics, physics, or another technical discipline, with a strong quantitative foundation.
- 5+ years of software development experience using Python and/or functional programming languages (e.g., Haskell, Scala, OCaml, F#) within a production-grade environment.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL for querying, transforming, and analyzing large and complex datasets.
- Hands-on experience building or working with statistical models, large-scale aggregation engines, or quantitative systems for analytics or reporting.
- Exceptional collaboration, communication, and problem-solving abilities, with a strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, and ethical development practices.
