FullStack Developer

For our Client from USA: Raven Cargo we are looking for Full Stack Developer.

Raven Cargo is a technology based Third Party Logistics Provider (3PL) that focuses on

providing state-of-the-art solutions to an industry that typically relies on manual processes.

Their main platform provides front and back-end solutions for internal team members,

customers, and logistics providers to collaborate throughout the lifecycle of a customer’s order.

This includes order management, load tracking, exception detection, notifications, reporting,

automated tasks, and more. 

TEAM

The software development team is less than 10 members who operate using the agile software management methodology with 2-week sprints. Included in these sprints are daily standup meetings and weekly backlog refinement sessions to facilitate the sprint and backlog. All artifacts for the sprint are managed within JIRA’s Project Management tools.

There is a wiki page library for new hires to set up their machines and learn the system

architecture and code standards. Along with documentation, team members support each other by collaborating using Microsoft Teams messaging and comments on Pull Requests.

TECHNOLOGY STACK

The Raven Eye platform follows the S.O.L.I.D principles of design and the team utilizes test-

driven development to expand functionality.

The architecture is highlighted by the following:

• React / TypeScript (TS) front end

• Custom / Material UI component TS library

• C# / MS-SQL back end

• Microservices using ASP.NET Web Api w/ shared Core Nuget packages

• CI / CD build and release pipelines w/ automated tests

• Code-first database schema management w/ pipeline managed migrations

• Cloud hosted web applications / APIs / Databases

• Trunk-based development w/ Pull Requests

We are looking for more than one person with diverse experience. We are open for less and more experienced developers (junior and mid). 

Responsibilities:

• Participate in Main Project Development: Contribute to the development of the main project under the guidance of the Director of Software Engineering.
• Collaboration within a Small Team: Work as part of a team based in the US, fostering a collaborative environment to achieve project goals.
• Agile Methodology: Participate in Agile development processes, ensuring flexibility and adaptability in project execution.
• Design Principles: Apply the S.O.L.I.D principles of design to ensure robust and maintainable software architecture.
• Test-Driven Development: Utilize test-driven development (TDD) to expand functionality, ensuring high-quality code and reliable software systems.
• Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with team members to define and implement solutions, aligning with project objectives and technical standards.

Expectations:

• Experience in JavaScript/Typescript, C#, SQL, Windows

-1-2 years of Software Engineering experience

- BS Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience required

• Basic understanding of source control management and Git.

• Familiarity with industry best practices - Unit Testing, Object Oriented

Programming/Design, SOLID Principles, CI, CD, Trunk based development.

• Knowledge and experience performing test-driven engineering. TypeMoq (TS) / Moq

(C#) is a plus.

• Web application development skills: JavaScript, Typescript, NodeJS, Mocha/Jest, Npm,

WebPack/Vite, SignalR, React/Angular 2+/Vue, Bootstrap, jQuery HTML5, CSS 3

• API application development skills: .NET Core 3.1 +, REST / Open API, SOAP, OData,

SignalR, Entity Framework Core, Entity Framework Core, Nuget Packages, MS Test, Moq.

• Knowledge in using and developing applicable tool sets like: Visual Studio, Visual Studio

Code, git, Postman.

• Basic understanding of Component UI best practices: routing, boundaries, interceptors,

parent/child component relationships, etc.

• Ability to utilize REST API endpoints (OpenAPI v3+ compliant)

• Ability to work with complex data models.

• Ability to work well with internal and external technology resources.

• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum software development methodology.

• Ability to complete moderately complex bug fixes with backwards compatibility.

• Good oral and written communications skills.

• Understanding of database modeling principles is a plus.

• Experience performing test-driven engineering. TypeMoq (TS) / Moq (C#) is a plus.

• Experience utilizing IoC Containers / Dependency Injection is a plus.

• Basic Familiarity with: Cloud SaaS/PaaS Architecture (Preferably Azure) is a plus.
