Site Reliability Engineer

We are looking for a Middle Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with experience in Java and the Spring framework to support and enhance our mission-critical payment solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving Java-based application issues, ensuring system stability, and collaborating with development teams to implement fixes and optimisations. Ideal candidates will have some hands-on backend experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and a proactive mindset toward improving performance and reliability across systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for Java-based applications.

• Diagnose and troubleshoot Java-related issues.

• Collaborate with the development team to resolve bugs and implement fixes.

• Monitor system performance and ensure application stability.

• Document support processes and issue resolutions.

• Assist in performance tuning and optimization of applications.

• Provide user support and training as needed.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in a Site Reliability Engineer role or a similar position

• Hands-on experience with Java and the Spring framework, with the ability to read, understand, and debug Java-based applications.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for diagnosing application and system issues.

• Experience in monitoring application performance and ensuring production stability.

• Familiarity with performance tuning and optimization techniques for backend systems.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with software development teams to resolve issues and implement fixes.

• Proactive approach to documenting support procedures and resolution steps.

• Good communication skills to support users and provide training when required.

• Strong sense of ownership and responsibility for the systems supported.
