Senior DevOps Engineer

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join a critical project in the financial sector. You will be a key player in migrating high-traffic, mission-critical systems from on-premise infrastructure to a modern multi-cloud environment (GCP/AWS). This role demands deep expertise in Kubernetes and CI/CD automation to ensure the stability and reliability of platforms processing thousands of transactions per second.

Essential functions

• Cloud Migration: Drive the migration of existing on-premise systems to multi-cloud environments (GCP, AWS).

• CI/CD & Deployment: Maintain, configure, and troubleshoot continuous integration and deployment pipelines primarily using Jenkins and Argo CD.

• Release Management: Support frequent (almost weekly) releases, ensuring system stability and resolving build or deployment issues.

• Infrastructure Operations: Work extensively with containers, Kubernetes clusters, networking configurations, and certificates (SSL/TLS, mTLS).

• High-Load Support: Maintain and operate high-traffic systems handling thousands of transactions per second.

• Troubleshooting: Debug complex network connectivity issues, define system configurations, and coordinate fast resolution.

• Maintenance: Plan and execute server patching and patch scheduling.

• Collaboration: Work closely with development, production support, and cross-functional teams to resolve complex problems efficiently.

Qualifications

• Kubernetes: Strong, hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container-based architectures (Mandatory).

• Jenkins: Strong, hands-on experience with Jenkins and Jenkins pipelines (Mandatory).

• CI/CD Tools: Solid background in Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment, including running and configuring Argo CD.

• Cloud Platforms: Proven experience working with public cloud platforms (GCP and/or AWS).

• Networking & Security: Strong debugging skills for network/connectivity issues and experience managing certificates (SSL/TLS, mTLS).

• High-Availability: Proven track record working with high-traffic, high-availability production systems.

• Artifact Management: Familiarity with Nexus or similar artifact repositories.

• Operations Knowledge: Solid understanding of server maintenance, patching, and scheduling.

• Soft Skills: Strong communication skills, a proactive problem-solving attitude, and the ability to escalate issues clearly while collaborating across multiple teams.

Would be a plus

• Experience designing and managing true multi-cloud architectures.

• Deep background in large-scale enterprise production environments.

• Familiarity with advanced release management strategies in fast-paced environments.
