Senior Data Enigneer

We’re looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our Data Engineering team and play a key role in shaping our Snowflake Data Warehouse. You’ll work across multiple projects, identifying patterns, optimizing cloud costs, and helping scale and automate data governance processes.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Building robust data models downstream of backend services (primarily in Snowflake) for internal reporting, financial, and regulatory use cases.
• Optimizing the Data Warehouse by reducing complexity and cost.
• Defining and managing best practices for our Data Warehouse, including data payload design, logical data modeling, implementation, metadata, and testing standards.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance data governance and maintain high data quality.
• Applying and scaling established best practices across different business areas.
• Prioritizing data governance issues and contributing to continuous improvement efforts.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience in Data Modelling, ETL projects, and Big Data as a developer or engineer.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or similar languages.
• Experience in Apache Kafka.
• Advanced knowledge of SQL and data modeling.
• Solid understanding of Data Warehousing concepts.
• A proactive mindset, always looking to improve processes and optimize performance.
• Experience building robust and reliable datasets requiring high levels of control.
