We are looking for a skilled Python ML/AI Engineer to join an innovative project team focused on building GenAI-powered systems from the ground up. You will work closely with engineers and data scientists in a dynamic, AI-first environment to develop intelligent solutions for streaming platforms using modern technologies like Kafka, LLMs, and cloud infrastructure.
Essential functions
- Design and implement scalable AI/ML-powered applications
- Develop backend services and data pipelines using Python and Kafka
- Integrate LLM-based systems (OpenAI, Claude, etc.) into real-world workflows
- Build APIs and microservices in a cloud-native environment (AWS or Azure)
- Work with Data Scientists to bring GenAI models into production
- Collaborate in an agile team across multiple locations with partial overlap in the Pacific Timezone
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in scalable AI/ML development
- Strong Python skills (preferred), or Java/C#
- Hands-on with ML libraries: PyTorch, TensorFlow
- Experience with microservices, REST APIs, Kafka
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Snowflake, Databricks)
- Knowledge of LLM integration: prompt engineering, embeddings, RAG
Would be a plus
- Experience with Spark, Hadoop
- Exposure to LangChain, LangGraph, vector DBs, Copilot
- Experience with secure, low-latency systems
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD
- Prior work in incubation/startup-style projects
