Python Developer

We're looking for a talented Python Developer to join our backend team. You'll be building scalable and well-tested services that power modern web applications and integrate with third-party systems. This is a hands-on coding role with room for growth in architecture, DevOps, or data engineering - depending on your interests.

You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams on real-world products used by thousands of users.

Essential functions

• Write high-quality, maintainable code for software applications, modules, and components. This involves implementing complex features, resolving technical challenges, and ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.

• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback, identify potential issues, ensure code quality and consistency within the team.

• Develope and execute comprehensive testing strategies, including unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests, to validate functionality, performance, and reliability.

• Analyze and resolve regular technical issues, including system failures, performance degradation, and security vulnerabilities, through systematic debugging, root cause analysis, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

• Identify performance bottlenecks, optimizing code and system performance, and design scalable architectures to support growing user bases and increasing workloads.

• Document code, processes, and procedures to facilitate collaboration among team members and ensure that the software can be maintained and extended in the future

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial experience with Python

• Experience with FastAPI, Flask, or Django

• Knowledge of message brokers (e.g. Kafka, RabbitMQ)

• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)

• Solid understanding of OOP and backend architecture

• Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices

• Hands-on experience with Docker and containerized applications

• Good knowledge of relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL) and writing efficient queries

• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, and agile development workflows

Would be a plus

• Writing and maintaining unit/integration tests

• Experience working with data pipelines or streaming systems
