Lead Angular Developer

We are looking for a highly skilled Lead Angular Developer to take a pivotal role in leading software development projects, defining technical strategies, and contributing to the system’s overall architecture. As a Staff-level engineer, you will lead complex frontend initiatives, provide strong technical guidance to your team, and help shape scalable, high-performance applications using Angular and related technologies.

This role combines technical excellence, leadership, and mentorship, with strong ownership across project architecture and delivery.

Essential functions

• Provide technical leadership to frontend engineering teams; guide implementation and enforce best practices

• Design and architect complex UI systems, define technology stacks and architectural patterns aligned with scalability and performance goals

• Lead feature development, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure on-time, high-quality delivery

• Conduct code reviews, perform performance analysis, and ensure adherence to coding standards

• Participate in and influence system architecture decisions, ensuring consistency and long-term maintainability

• Mentor mid- and senior-level developers; support team growth and capability development

• Lead communication with stakeholders including business and technical representatives up to director level

• Support internal tech talks, meetups, and knowledge sharing, including preparation and delivery of presentations

• Contribute to upsell strategies by understanding client needs and aligning technical direction with business goals

• Conduct technical interviews up to senior levels (T4), adjusting evaluation approaches as needed

Qualifications

• Strong experience (7+ years) in building complex front-end applications using Angular (v12+)

• Expert in JavaScript and TypeScript

• Deep knowledge of HTML, CSS, and browser rendering performance

• Understanding of NoSQL databases and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)

• Experience with unit testing frameworks (e.g., Jasmine, Karma, Jest)

• Proven ability to lead frontend teams and projects from architecture to deployment

• Familiarity with REST APIs, OAuth2, and web security best practices

• Hands-on experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Docker

• Solid understanding of SPA architecture and UI design patterns

Would be a plus

• Knowledge of other modern frameworks (React, Vue, etc.)

• Exposure to Node.js / Express.js backend (basic level)

• Experience with ARIA, SVG, or rich animations

• Familiarity with browser profilers and performance debugging tools

• Experience in public speaking or leading internal/external tech talks
