Junior DevOps Engineer

We are looking for a Junior DevOps Engineer to join a team responsible for building and maintaining platforms that collect and process logs and metrics from edge devices, mobile applications, and cloud services.

In this role, you will help ensure system reliability and observability across large-scale distributed systems while contributing to the migration of existing infrastructure to modern cloud-native platforms.

You will work closely with engineering teams to improve monitoring, automate infrastructure processes, and enhance the reliability of internal platforms used across the organisation.

What You’ll Do

• Maintain and improve platforms used to collect and monitor logs and metrics from distributed systems

• Support migration of infrastructure and services to modern cloud platforms

• Build and maintain automation and infrastructure-as-code solutions

• Improve system reliability, monitoring, and operational processes

• Support internal users of monitoring and visibility platforms

• Participate in the on-call rotation

• Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and SLOs

• Collect feedback from internal teams to continuously improve platform capabilities

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

• 1.5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or a similar role

• Strong experience with Linux and open-source environments

• Working knowledge of Python and/or Go

• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)

• Experience building or maintaining CI/CD pipelines

• Experience with monitoring tools (ELK, Prometheus)

• Strong organisational and communication skills

• Experience automating operational processes

Nice to Have

• Experience writing technical documentation or runbooks

• Experience with Terraform or other infrastructure-as-code tools

• Experience building observability or monitoring platforms

• Familiarity with large-scale distributed systems
