Java Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer to join our engineering team, contributing to the development and enhancement of mission-critical platforms with a focus on compliance, scalability, and modern architecture. You will work on cloud-native applications, API management, and real-time data processing. This role offers the opportunity to engage in cutting-edge initiatives including migration to Kong API Gateway and integration with Kafka.

Essential functions

• Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications within a microservices architecture

• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and other Agile ceremonies

• Collaborate with engineering managers and cross-functional teams on product requirements

• Enhance and support CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, ArgoCD, and GitHub

• Work on the migration of the existing API gateway to Kong

• Ensure compliance with open banking standards and implement SCA requirements

• Integrate Kafka-based real-time data processing where required

• Monitor application performance using Datadog and similar tools

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Java development

• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Helm Charts

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)

• Proficiency in continuous deployment practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, ArgoCD, Github)

• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Datadog)

• Knowledge of microservices architecture and RESTful API development

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• Availability to work on a full-time employment contract (Umowa o pracę)

• Experience with Kong API Gateway

• Experience with Kafka for real-time streaming

• Familiarity with open banking and Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) standards
