The Cloud Database Engineer (CDE) is responsible for designing and implementing databases in the cloud environments. CDE will need an understanding of MongoDB databases and pipelines for automated deployments. The CDE will ensure database systems are reliable, running at optimal performance, and monitoring the landscape using native and cloud tools. The CDE will work with development teams and database groups to ensure code deployments are addressed on time.
Your responsibilities
- Work with the DBA group to optimize performance for cloud database technologies.
- Partner with development teams to improve services and database objects through testing and release procedures.
- Database troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Ensure the proper scheduling of database tasks.
- Document processes and procedures.
- Communicates projects or tasks with requesting parties.
Our requirements
- 2+ years of experience.
- Understanding of Terraform and deployment as code procedures.
- Strong technical problem-solving skills and understanding of non-relational model principles.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Experience working with production deployment, monitoring, and operational support.
- Experience working with Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment tools.
- Experience with tools Azure DevOps (ADO), DataDog, Github.
- Administration experience with CloudSQL, AlloyDB, Spanner, MySQL, or Postgresql (not required).
