We are looking for a talented Machine Learning Engineer/ Data Scientist. We need a candidate that can design and develop new machine learning models for supply/demand forecasting. The candidate should be able to work independently with the business partners and provide thought leadership to drive innovation. This role requires a strong blend of data science modeling, domain expertise and the ability to thrive in a fast paced, pod model. Tech Stack : dbt, Redshift, Glue, Hex, Tableau, Vertex AI.


Working hours: US timezone (4 hours overlap)


Responsibilities:

  • Model Development & Deployment 

– Build and optimize machine learning models for supply and demand forecasting 

– Design robust time series, probabilistic, and deep learning-based forecasting models. 

– Own the full lifecycle of modeling from testing, training to deployment to production. 

  • Data Engineering & Infrastructure 

– Collaborate with data engineers to build and maintain scalable pipelines for data ingestion, feature generation, and inference. 

– Ensure data quality and governance best practices across training and production environments. 

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration 

– Partner closely with Operations, and Engineering teams to integrate forecasting models into production reporting 

– Communicate technical results and modeling decisions effectively to non-technical stakeholders.


Skills & Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience developing and deploying machine learning models in production.
  • Hands-on experience with time series forecasting frameworks (e.g., Prophet, ARIMA, DeepAR, etc.).
  • Proficiency in Python and ML libraries such as scikit-learn, XGBoost, PyTorch, or TensorFlow.
  • Proficient with SQL and some knowledge of dbt for transformations 


Nice to have

  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP) and MLOps tools (e.g., MLflow, SageMaker, Vertex AI).
  • Experience in Machine Learning/ Data Engineering 
  • Prior experience in logistics, e-commerce, healthcare, or manufacturing where supply-demand dynamics are central.
