    Job description

    About the job

A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

We’re focused on making a better browser (on both desktop and mobile) to help users take advantage of all the web has to offer in a safe and secure way.Chrome is available across all major platforms — iOS, Android, Windows, Mac, Linux and Chrome OS. We also built Chrome as an open source project so the entire web ecosystem could benefit from the latest innovations in speed, simplicity and security.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead cross-functional teams of engineers, product managers, and UX designers/researchers in executing projects and programs from concept to launch, planning, tracking progress, identifying and resolving issues and managing dependencies.
    • Design and roll-out processes and tools to increase the velocity of engineering teams and the quality of product launches.
    • Provide program management leadership for the portfolio of Trust and Safety (T&S) priorities and establish partnerships with Engineering, Product and UX leads.
    • Deliver continuous and goaled transparency to keep core team members aligned and stakeholders informed.
    • Leverage an understanding of Trust and Safety feature development to identify and build new operational improvements and processes.

    Minimum qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
    • 2 years of experience working with cross-functional teams that build software for data privacy or security.
    • Experience with back end developing for the open web, including web standards bodies and Chromium.
    • 2 years of relevant experience in software development.

    Preferred qualifications:

    • 2 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
    • Experience using various program/project management tools and systems.
    • Ability to work independently, navigating ambiguity within a dynamic organization.
    • Excellent problem-solving, communication and influencing skills.

    Benefits:

    • Health and Wellbeing (Medical, dental, and vision insurance for employees and dependents)
    • Financial wellbeing (Competitive compensation, regular bonus and equity refresh opportunities)
    • Flexibility and time off (Paid time off, including vacation, bereavement, jury duty, sick leave, parental leave, disability, and holidays)
    • Family support and care (Fertility and growing family support, parental leave and baby bonding leave)
    • Community and personal development (Educational reimbursement)
