1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
1 year of experience with front-end and user interface development.

Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
1 year of experience with data structures and algorithms.

Sigma is the primary Borg UI for all jobs, including ML workloads. It is used daily by thousands of Googlers to understand the state of their jobs, including on-callers relying on us in their troubleshooting. It provides a global and comprehensive view of all your jobs. It is extensible, allowing other teams to have their own extensions for richer job information and supports integrations with infrastore/rumbo, herodotus, monarch, autopilot. The system is a combination of front-end technologies (AngularJS, TypeScript) with business logic and data sources integration in Java.As a Software Engineer in Sigma team, you will be responsible for the whole lifecycle of product enhancements, from identifying the needs by interactions with our Users, through designing, implementation and automated testing, rollout support and production stabilization.

Responsibilities
Write product or system development code.
Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
Identify, recommend, and execute improvements in the shared codebase. Work with other team members to define product requirements that put the user first.
Contribute to high product excellence, technical quality, high delivery velocity by delivering products with high bar for software maintainability, quality, resiliency, and performance.
