Software Engineer II, Managed Kafka

Responsibilities:

• Build and support managed Kafka on Google Data Centers and ensure it is highly reliable and scalable.
• Work with many different types of technologies across the OSS, Google, and GCP stack.
• Program distributed systems at a vast scale with high availability requirements.
• Support managed Kafka environments and customers (oncall support).
• Troubleshoot and meet with customers to help them improve their experience with our products.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
• 1 year of experience with data structures or algorithms.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with Distributed Systems, Apache Kafka, Kubernetes
