In this role, you will help Google lead the Machine Learning (ML) market at the core. You will embrace the environment where thinking at scale meets raw machine performance.

Responsibilities

• Understand guest (virtualized) and host (hypervisor) environments and come up with solutions that connect both.
• Work with peers to identify, design, create and optimize software features that runs on Google's hardware stack.
• Develop, test, integrate, and release solutions.
• Design and build infrastructure to automatically measure and detect regressions in key performance metrics.
• Advocate your ideas to others when cooperation and coordination is needed.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience in software development.
• 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms in either an academic or industry setting.
• Experience in architecting and developing distributed systems.
• Experience in concurrency, multithreading and synchronization.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Experience in developing accessible technologies.
• Experience with C++ or Go.
