Senior Software Engineer, Applied AI

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
• 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, and with data structures/algorithms.
• 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
• 2 years of experience building developer tools (e.g., compilers, automated releases, code design and testing, test automation frameworks).
• Experience using data science or statistical methods to derive insights and solve issues.
• Experience with AI/ML-powered feature development and productization.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience working on open source projects and in open source ecosystems.

In this role, you will get an opportunity to move beyond theoretical AI model development and apply your expertise to solve real-world, impactful engineering tests. You will develop and implement AI-powered tools to significantly accelerate the code creation process. You will explore and integrate AI solutions to make code reviews faster, more efficient, and more insightful. You will drive innovation using AI to optimize testing procedures and streamline issue triage, leading to substantial cost reductions.

Responsibilities

• Build AI/ML solutions and tools into development workflows and platforms.
• Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs to support AI-powered features.
• Evaluate AI models by designing and utilizing custom evaluation sets focused on quality, coherence, and safety assessment.
• Develop and integrate User Interface (UI) components to surface Artificial Intelligence (AI) insights and suggestions within developer tools.
• Contribute to the development of tools and infrastructure that lower the barrier to entry for AI/ML development within the organization.
