    Job description

    About the job

At Google, we put our users first. The world is always changing, so we need Product Managers who are continuously adapting and excited to work on products that affect millions of people every day.

In this role, you will work cross-functionally to guide products from conception to launch by connecting the technical and business worlds. You can break down complex problems into steps that drive product development.

One of the many reasons Google consistently brings innovative, world-changing products to market is because of the collaborative work we do in Product Management. Our team works closely with creative engineers, designers, marketers, etc. to help design and develop technologies that improve access to the world's information. We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users.

As a Product Manager on the Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) AI training team, you'll be responsible for driving growth in GKE AI training. Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) is a scalable and automated Kubernetes service available from public cloud provider, enabling developers and businesses to run their containerized applications on Google Cloud.

Google Cloud accelerates every organization’s ability to digitally transform its business and industry. We deliver enterprise-grade solutions that leverage Google’s cutting-edge technology, and tools that help developers build more sustainably. Customers in more than 200 countries and territories turn to Google Cloud as their trusted partner to enable growth and solve their most critical business problems.

    Responsibilities

    • Drive GTM for the features launched with the goal of winning adoption of GKE for AI training workloads.
    • Facilitate launches, maintenance, and retirement in collaboration with other cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
    • Gather requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and work with partners across Google Cloud to grow GKE by creating compelling reasons for customers to choose GKE for their AI training workloads.
    • Craft the product idea and strategy to meet the AI training workload requirements of GKE's customers.
    • Work cross-functionally with engineering, UX design, UX engineering, Customer Engineering, Solutions Architects, Developer Relations, and other teams to ensure a positive product experience.

    Minimum qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
    • 3 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
    • 1 year of experience taking technical products from conception to launch.

    Preferred qualifications:

    • Master's degree in a technology or business related field.
    • 2 years of experience in a business function or role (e.g., strategic marketing, business operations, consulting).
    • 1 year of experience in software development or engineering.
    • Knowledge of artificial intelligence workloads, especially AI training workloads.
    • Knowledge of building accessibility best practices, and experience incorporating inclusion and accessibility into product development methodologies.

    Benefits:

    • Health and Wellbeing (Medical, dental, and vision insurance for employees and dependents)
    • Financial wellbeing (Competitive compensation, regular bonus and equity refresh opportunities)
    • Flexibility and time off (Paid time off, including vacation, bereavement, jury duty, sick leave, parental leave, disability, and holidays)
    • Family support and care (Fertility and growing family support, parental leave and baby bonding leave)
    • Community and personal development (Educational reimbursement)
    • Googley extras (Inspiring spaces to work, recharge, and collaborate with fellow Googlers)
