Job description

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience automating infrastructure provisioning, DevOps, continuous integration, or delivery.
  • 3 years of experience on any CSP Cloud infrastructure design, network architecture design, implementation, Kubernetes, Cloud security, logging and monitoring.
  • Experience designing cloud enterprise solutions and supporting customer projects to completion.
  • Experience in one or more of the following disciplines on GCP: GKE migration, GCVE migration, network design, data migration strategies, or VM migration to GCE.
  • Experience coding in general purpose languages (e.g., Python, Java, Go, C/C++), including data structures, algorithms, and software design.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with GCP techniques such as prompt engineering, dual encoders, and embedding vectors.
  • Experience building prototypes or applications.
  • Knowledge of containerization and container orchestration technologies such as Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).
  • Familiarity with standard IT security practices such as identity and access management, data protection, encryption, certificate and key management.

As a Cloud Platform and Infrastructure Engineer, you will provide exceptional technical guidance to customers adopting Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services. This includes providing best practices on secure foundational cloud implementations, automated provisioning of infrastructure and applications, cloud-ready application architectures, and more. You will also provide prescriptive guidance in ensuring that customers receive the best of what GCP can offer and have the best experience in migrating, building, modernizing, and maintaining applications in GCP. Additionally, you will work closely with Product Management and Product Engineering to drive excellence in Google Cloud products and features.

Responsibilities

  • Provide domain expertise in cloud platforms and infrastructure, solving cloud platform tests.
  • Work with customers to design and implement Cloud based technical architectures, migration approaches, and application optimizations that enable business objectives.
  • Advise customers as a technical expert and perform troubleshooting to resolve their technical issues.
  • Create and deliver best practice recommendations, tutorials, blog articles, and sample code.
  • Travel up to 30% for in-region meetings, technical reviews, and onsite delivery activities.
