Software cal/val engineer for satellite missions

We are expanding our teams in the space sector to take on Earth Observation Satellite Missions projects.

WHAT CHALLENGE WILL YOU BE TAKING ON?

In our team you will be involved in cal/val process and tools for Earth Observation Satellite Missions.

You will be responsible for:

• Development of cal/val tools of optical satellites
• Preparation and execution of cal/val plans
• Software implementation, documentation, verification/validation
• Data validation and sensor calibration
• Statistical Analysis and data interpretation
• Analysis of SW problems, correction of problems according to the analysis, test the resolution and documentation of all steps done to resolve the problem.
• Non-regression testing
• Implementation of algorithms
• Delivery and SW package preparation
• Implementation of enhancements of supporting tools

WHAT DO WE NEED IN OUR TEAM?

We are looking for software engineers with background and interest in:

•  Programming Python, R, C/C++ & GNU toolset
• Scripting (e.g Python, bash)
• SW development
• Software testing
• Deep understanding of Unix/Linux
• Continuous integration systems (e.g.Jenkins)  

We will also value previous experience, and knowledge in:

• Documentation preparation
• Algorithms for data processing
• Configuration Management systems (SVN, GIT...)
• Test automation frameworks
