Senior Build & Integration Engineer IRC251190

We are looking for a Senior Build & Integration Engineer, to work with the largest manufacturer and distributor of household appliances in Europe and one of the leading in the world. You will be responsible for bringing next-generation home appliances to the market. The job involves close cooperation with the team in Germany and occasional business trips.

Requirements:

Minimum Education & Experience:

• 5+ years of work experience designing, developing & testing software
• 3+ years of experience managing build systems for embedded software projects
• Bachelor Science in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 5 years of commercial experience, Master Science with 3 years of experience, or PhD with 1 year of experience

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Strong expertise in CMake and Conan
• Experience with cross-compilation and embedded systems & CPU Architectures (e.g. ARM)
• Experience with Linux-based systems
• Proficiency in Object Oriented Programming & other programming paradigms
• Knowledge of version control systems like Git

Recommended qualifications & skills:

• Proficiency using Python, Bash & other scripting languages
• Familiarity with other Linux build-systems (autotools, Bazel, etc.)
• Familiarity building containers (docker)
• Familiarity of markup/config languages (e.g. JSON, YAML or XML)

Sought After Soft Skills:

• English level at least at B2 level (both written and spoken)
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Great problem-solving and analytical skills
• Proactive and self-motivated with a continuous learning mindset

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain robust build systems using tools like CMake and Conan
• Manage dependencies and integrate third-party libraries using Conan
• Set up and maintain cross-compilation environments for various target platforms
• Optimize build performance and resource utilization
• Troubleshoot and resolve build-related issues
• Create and maintain documentation for build processes and best practices
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration with the build system
• Integrate build systems with CI/CD pipelines
• Evaluate new build tools requirements
