Embedded C++ / Rust Developer IRC253493

We are looking for an experienced, open-minded, and creative Embedded C++/Rust Developer, to join our team of IoT experts.

You will create new and develop existing products related to the IoT network: floodlight cameras, smart doorbells, smart alarms, and anything else you can imagine thinking about smart home and home security. And by saying “create” we really mean it. This is the role in which your ideas and creativity are much welcome, as the final result will depend on our team’s approach and work.

All products are Linux-based devices, so the area of your responsibility will contain drivers, application layer, sending data to the cloud/internet, etc. If you already have some experience in this area – great! If not, don’t worry – we will provide you access to unique technology, experts, and know-how, just give us a good basis! You will also be cooperating closely with the R&D team in the USA.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of proven track record of commercial embedded C++ (preferably 17 or higher) programming
• experience in embedded device development based on Linux
• experience in multi-threaded programming
• understanding of system design, data structures, and algorithms
• good analytical skills
• good communication in English, both written and spoken (B2)

Job Responsibilities:

As a member of our team, you will implement the client’s Linux-based OS, which is going to run on millions of devices in the field. Think of it as an alternative to Android, with an entirely independent environment & toolchain, with an improved experience for app developers and better stability.

In this job you are going to work on an intermediate layer between the OS and the application framework, which binds the platform (OS) interfaces and functionalities with top-level SDKs available for application developers, manages the lifecycle of the apps, etc. In other words, it’s a platform-independent framework layer (conceptually somewhat similar to the Android Framework layer in the Android world).

The programming stack involved is C++ 17, Rust. You will be working on Linux.
