GB2B builds and operates large-scale, high-performance iGaming platforms where reliability, security, and delivery discipline are critical. We’re looking for a Tech Lead / Staff Engineer to provide technical leadership across teams, govern architecture, define delivery standards, and lead during high-impact incidents.

Role Overview

This role sits above individual teams and focuses on technical direction, architectural consistency, and engineering excellence. You will partner with the Technical Project Manager on delivery strategy, technical risk management, and execution governance, providing technical leadership that enables reliable and scalable delivery.

We offer flexibility in contract type and can proceed either with a B2B agreement or a standard employment contract, depending on your preference.

Key Responsibilities

Architecture & Technical Direction

● Own and evolve architecture governance across frontend, backend, and data layers

● Guide system design decisions for high-traffic, distributed platforms

● Ensure consistency, scalability, and long-term maintainability across services and applications

● Review and validate architectural proposals and major technical changes

Delivery Standards & Engineering Excellence

● Define and enforce engineering standards, best practices, and delivery expectations

● Establish and maintain quality and release readiness gates in collaboration with QA

● Drive technical consistency across teams and reduce unnecessary complexity

● Support teams in balancing speed, quality, and long-term sustainability

Incident Leadership & Reliability

● Act as a technical leader during production incidents and outages

● Drive incident response, root cause analysis, and long-term corrective actions

● Improve system observability, resilience, and operational readiness

● Promote a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement

Cross-Team Leadership

● Mentor senior engineers and raise the overall technical bar

● Collaborate closely with product, QA, design, security, and operations

● Translate business and product goals into sound technical solutions

● Identify technical risks early and drive mitigation strategies

Technology Landscape

● Frontend: React, TypeScript

● Backend: Node.js, Nest.js

● Back Office / Internal fontend: Svelte, Angular

● Databases: MongoDB, PostgreSQL

You’ll provide leadership and architectural oversight across this stack, without being limited to a single layer.

What We’re Looking For

● Extensive experience as a Tech Lead, Staff Engineer, or Principal Engineer

● Strong background in distributed systems, high-traffic platforms, and cloud-based architectures

● Proven ability to set architectural direction and influence multiple teams

● Experience defining and maintaining engineering standards and delivery processes

● Hands-on experience leading incident response in production environments

● Deep understanding of system reliability, scalability, performance, and security

● Ability to balance technical excellence, product needs, and operational realities

● Excellent communication skills and calm decision-making under pressure

Nice to Have

● Experience in iGaming or other regulated, high-availability industries

● Familiarity with compliance, data protection, and security requirements

● Experience with cloud-native platforms and containerized environments
