Senior .NET Engineer

As a Software Engineer, you will take ownership of the ongoing support, maintenance, and incremental improvement of a well-established application built on .NET Framework and Silverlight. This is a hands-on role requiring deep experience with legacy tech stacks and a pragmatic, security-conscious mindset.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and stabilise a legacy asset management system
• Investigate and resolve security vulnerabilities and performance issues
• Own bug fixes, enhancements, and technical support activities
• Work closely with Product Management to scope, estimate, and deliver small improvements
• Improve system reliability while working within existing architectural constraints
• Document decisions, fixes, and processes to aid future maintainers

Requirements

• Strong experience with .NET Framework and C#
• Hands-on experience with Silverlight and WCF services
• Proven ability to maintain, debug, and enhance legacy software
• Solid understanding of Windows desktop application development
• Familiarity with SQL Server and relational data models
• Experience diagnosing and resolving data integrity issues using SQL, including writing scripts to correct inconsistent or corrupted data
• Security-aware mindset with experience remediating vulnerabilities in older systems

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Azure DevOps or similar tools for CI/CD and work tracking
• Comfortable working in a Kanban-style support and maintenance workflow
