Forte Group is looking for a skilled Analytics Engineer.
Responsibility
- Data Warehouse Modeling & Transformation: Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain robust, scalable, and performant data models within our Data Warehouse environment
- Business Intelligence & Data Visualization: Collaborate with analysts and business users to understand requirements; develop, maintain, and enhance insightful dashboards and reports using Power BI
- Self-Service Analytics Enablement: Create, document, and manage datasets and analytics workflows designed to empower end-users to explore data and answer their own questions effectively and securely
- Data Quality & Metrics Management: Define, implement, monitor, and troubleshoot data quality rules and tests within the transformation pipeline. Develop, maintain, and govern a centralized business metrics dictionary and semantic layer
- Collaboration & Documentation: Partner closely with IT and business stakeholders to understand data sources, infrastructure changes, and upstream dependencies. Maintain clear, concise documentation for data models, metrics, and processes
Qualifications and Skills
- Proficiency in SQL for complex data transformation, aggregation, and analysis
- Strong understanding of data modeling concepts (e.g., dimensional modeling, normalization/denormalization, change data capture, slowly changing dimensions)
- Experience developing dashboards and reports using BI & visualization platforms
- Understanding of data quality principles and experience implementing data testing/validation
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to various audiences
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
- Self-starter with the ability to manage priorities, work independently, and deliver results in a dynamic environment
